Dear Uplift Northwest family and supporters —
I am thrilled to take on the role of President of the Board of Trustees of Uplift Northwest this year. Our mission of empowerment through employment is more important than ever, and Uplift Northwest continues to light the path for people who need a helping hand to get back into the workforce.
I have spent the majority of my career in public service, working for the U.S. Congress in Washington, DC, and for the City of Seattle. My work for the city first drew me to Uplift Northwest. I saw first-hand Uplift Northwest’s impact and effectiveness in removing the many personal barriers that prevent some people from achieving self-sufficiency through employment. That is why I reached out six years ago and sought to join the mission.
Uplift Northwest has a fantastic board of trustees committed to stewarding the organization through the next 105 years. No board member has been more committed than my predecessor as Board President, Kevin Kennedy. For four years, he partnered with the Uplift Northwest executive team to lead us through enormous organizational change. We are stronger than ever thanks in significant part to his stewardship.
For 105 years, Uplift Northwest has served our community and touched countless lives. It is a great privilege for me to help further this incredible legacy.
In partnership,
Scott P. Lindsay
President, Board of Trustees
